The Ingram Scholarship Program at Vanderbilt University is a highly esteemed award that recognizes and supports students who demonstrate a passion for community service, leadership, and academic excellence. Established in 1993 by E. Bronson Ingram, the program aims to foster a spirit of civic engagement and social responsibility among young people.
The Ingram Scholarship Program is designed to encourage students to combine their academic pursuits with a commitment to community service and leadership. The program provides full-tuition, all required fees, and the value of on-campus housing each year, plus a stipend for a special summer service project. Scholars are also expected to participate in regular meetings and events, and to engage in ongoing community service projects throughout their undergraduate career.


Eligibility

To be eligible for the Ingram Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

– High school seniors and currently enrolled first-year students at Vanderbilt University
– Demonstrate a strong record of community service, leadership, and academic achievement
– Commitment to civic-minded service, entrepreneurial spirit, strength of personal character, and leadership potential

– 20 hours/month service commitment
– Summer service project after sophomore year
– 3.0 GPA minimum
– Annual renewal through senior year
